Denver, Colorado - Sander Jay Goldman, 95, passed away on November 20, 2022 at his home in Denver, Colorado.

Sandy was born May 28, 1927 to Harry A. and Cele (Weinstock) Goldman. The family lived in Cleveland, Ohio. He was an only child.

After serving in the navy during World War 2, Sandy attended Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineerin­g in 1951. He then served as an officer in the air force on Guam during the Korean War. He earned 2nd Lieutenant rank.

Following his discharge, he moved to Miami, Florida where he met his wife, Clementine Selma Barship. They were married on April 20, 1958. Sandy worked as a builder until 1966 when he opened Advance Ace Hardware on NE 163rd Street in N Miami Beach. He ran the store until he sold it in 1991 and retired.

Hialeah , Florida - Olga “Olgita” Cao, 81 beloved and adored wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r, and friend passed away peacefully December 27th, 2022.

Born in Havana, Cuba she arrived in the United States in 1962 to accompany her husband who previously left in 1961. Initially living in New York City for 7 years, until the cold and dark winters convinced them both, in 1969, to seek the warmer climate of Miami.

Sarasota, Florida - Bill F. Spohrer, age 91, husband of Lynn Wilson, of Sarasota FL, passed away on Friday morning, December 16, 2022 peacefully in his sleep at home, after a Covid complicati­on.

Bill was born on June 23, 1931, to Ralph and Frieda (Talley) Spohrer in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After Bill graduated from high school with honors,he went on with scholarshi­p to Oklahoma University and was Editor of the Sooner newspaper.

After graduating with a degree in Journalism, he started his first job as a First Lieutenant for the US Army stationed in Vietnam as “Aide-de-Camp” interpreti­ng French to English (which Bill spoke fluently from his time as a Fulbright Scholar in France). He then became a Travel writer for Fodor’s assigned to Latin America, stationed in Buenos throughout the US and Europe and took many cruises throughout the Caribbean and elsewhere in the world. Other countries they visited include Israel, Jordan and Egypt, and Australia and New Zealand They visited Soviet Russia and Mainland China twice each and even toured Antarctica. They continued to travel into their early 90’s.

Sandy and Clem both loved Colorado. They purchased a townhouse in Estes Park in 1997 and would live there for up to six months at a time before returning to their home in Miami for the rest of the year. They had a Lifetime National Parks pass and would visit Rocky Mountain National Park at least once a week and often more when they were in Estes.

Sander is survived by his son Ken Goldman (Cheryl), his daughter Carolyn Mendelzon (Adam), and his grandson Micah Mendelzon. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Clementine.
