Blanton Thomas “Tom” Belcher September 26, 1960 - November 28, 2022

Grand Dame of the South Florida Interior Design Community, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, cherished friend and mentor to many. Missed, loved and remembered on what would have been her 100th birthday.

Miami Beach, Florida - Blanton Thomas “Tom” Belcher peacefully passed away in Miami Beach, Florida on November 28, 2022. Born in North Carolina on September 26, 1960, Tom grew up in North Carolina and attended Appalachian University until he moved to Washington D.C. and later Miami to pursue his real estate career. Along the way he attracted friends from around the world and was very close to his parents James Blanton Belcher (Sonny) and Katherine Pruitt Belcher who each survive him.

Tom was a dynamic and successful presence in his adopted home of Miami, Florida. Most recently Tom was the Senior Director of Luxury

Sales at Douglas Elliman Florida on Miami Beach where he was well respected by his peers and beloved by clients. He became a top producer in the area, loved his work and was a member of the National Association of Realtors,FloridaAssociation of Realtors, and the Miami Association of Realtors.

Tom was a giving and loving individual and supported many charities including:Heifer International, Pridelines Youth Services, Inc. and the Richard H Thornton Library in Oxford, North Carolina. He was a proud lifelong member of the Democratic Party.

In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by his beloved spouse Eduardo Almeida, his brother Frank Belcher, sister Christi Starling and the many loving friends he nurtured and loved throughout his life.

Close friends and family are invited to a celebration of Tom’s life on January 21, 2023 at the Nautilus Hotel, 1825 Collins Ave, Miami Beach from 4:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. RSVP is required to kbrousseau2012@gmail. com.
