Kent Golding April 3, 1949 - June 8, 2023

-

Vero Beach, Florida - Kent Golding, of Vero Beach, left this earth on June 8, 2023.

Born on April 3, 1949, in Lincoln Nebraska, he moved to Miami Florida with his family when he was eight years old. His father was William Raymond Golding, and his mother was Jeannette Zimmerer Golding, both of Lincoln Nebraska. Kent attended St Rose of Lima School through eighth grade and Archbishop Curley High School. He studied at SUNY Stony Brook University and graduated from Barry University, where he worked for many years in the Admissions department.

Kent loved sports, playing as a youth at the Miami Shores Community Center as well as in high School. His favorite things were fishing and music…listening, playing, and recording it. He had a sweet and loving nature and was the devoted caregiver of his mother. He delighted in sharing his favorite fishing spots with his nephews and nieces.

Kent is survived by his two sisters, two brothers, four nephews and three nieces.

He did not want a funeral…. just a party for family and friends with a toast and listening to one of my many playlists. Kent donated his body to the University of Florida Anatomical Board for Medical Research to be used in medical and dental schools. His ashes will be returned to his family and scattered at one of his favorite fishing spots.

Donations can be made to the Anatomical Board by check. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
