Miami, Florida - Irma P. Baron, 71, daughter of Eduardo & Regla Marzoa, took her last breath on the 31st day of July embraced by her loving children, Natalia & David Baron.

Irma was born in Havana Cuba February 25th 1952 where she attended the Collegio San Pablo. Always an excellent student Irma emigrated to the United States on a student visa accompanied by her parents in the year 1960. Here in Miami she continued her education at St Michael’s the Archangel Catholic School followed by Immaculata- La Salle & on to Miami Dade. Irma was the president of two companies in her lifetime, Interama Jewels & Bass Industries. The latter till her death.

Among her accomplishments: Outstanding Woman of the Year by the Diabetes Research Institute, recurring President of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis Women’s Guild, Miami City Ballet Board Member & Founder of their Children’s Series, Ten Best Dressed Honoree, Cushman School PTA President multiple times, Ransom Everglades School Booster Club President

to name a few.

Always stylish, she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. A lover of the arts, ballet, Broadway, film & fine art. She enjoyed traveling to the great museums with her children & with friends.

A devoted mother. A generous friend. She was kind & curious & could always be counted on to know the best restaurant in any city.

An avid reader she consumed three papers a day & always remembered details of her queridos lives. She loved music from Bowie to Beethoven. Her laugh was quick & contagious.

Above all else she was the most loving & supportive mother.

She was brave & resilient, a champion of those in need. She loved to take in stray dogs whom she’d nurture & give a home.

She is survived by her children, her granddaughter Ella. & her beloved schnauzer Campeón. Irma touched all who had the good fortune to meet her.

Grace & beauty personified. Fierce & funny. The world is a dimmer place without her. Yet there’s comfort in knowing that her grand spirit remains in the vibrant sunset, the sound of the ocean, & the warmth of the breeze.

Services to be held privately out of town.

A life long ballet lover & supporter of the arts, (Irma even named her daughter after prima ballerina Natalia Makarova), contributions in Irma’s memory may be made to The Miami City Ballet.
