Messi and Co. were dining at this Miami hotspot. So was ‘an intoxicated guest’

A patron who reportedly got kicked out of hotspot Gekkō in Miami’s upscale Brickell neighborhood Friday night tried to reenter, and things didn’t go well.

Page Six has pictures of the unidentified diner outside the clubstaurant, his face a blood-soaked mess. He is heard saying in a video shot by a paparazzo that Gekkō guards confronted him over his friend’s selfie.

Happening to be eating at the high-end steakhouse around the same time were soccer stars and their partners celebrating yet another Inter Miami win: Lionel Messi and wife Antonela Roccuzzo; David and Victoria Beckham; Sergio Busquets and Elena Galera; and Jordi Alba, whose wife recently gave birth. Also along for at least part of the meal was Harper Beckham, 12, who had been a mascot at the game.

“They jumped at us,” the man alleges in the video, blood spattered on his shirt. “Just because my homeboy was trying to take a picture with his wife, not with Beckham or Messi, nothing.”

A rep for Gekkō released a statement about the situation to the Miami Herald:

“An intoxicated guest was overbearingly taking photos of fellow guests and was asked to stop. He continued taking photos and was calmly escorted off property,” the rep said. “The guest then returned in an aggressive attempt to rush the door and reenter the restaurant, to which he was prevented from entering.”

On her Instagram hours later, Victoria gave no hint that anything was amiss, sharing a snap with her galpals with the caption,

“I LOVE MIAMI!!!! So much fun last night! Kisses.”

The Gekkō rep tells us that’s because the sports stars left before anything even happened, and that the trouble started only when the individual, who had been kicked out earlier, was prevented from coming back in.

“There was no fight,” the rep assures us. “There was no violence inside Gekkō.”

We reached out to the Miami Police Department and were told on Wednesday that a police report was “not available” yet for the incident.
