HCP Media, a subsidiary of the Miami Herald Media Company, will be closing its doors on July 31.

For 20 years, the custompublishing enterprise carved a niche in the travel and tourism market, producing award-winning publications for its clients. But like so many other companies that serve the travel and tourism industry, the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent shutdowns have had an outsized impact on HCP, said Aminda Marqués González, president and publisher of Miami Herald Media Company.

“While we have seen some signs of improvement in areas of our business, there continues to be real uncertainty about when a recovery might happen,” Marqués said.

Each year, HCP produced more than 100 print and digital publications for their partners. They included glossy in-room hotel books and in-flight magazines in Mexico and the Caribbean as well as boutique coffeetable books and publications for premiere events such as the Super Bowl and the South Beach Wine and Food Festival.

“It has been an honor to work with every member of the HCP family,” said Marisa Beazel, president and publisher of HCP Media. “Our team’s hard work and dedication shined through in award-winning publications, strong client relationships and loyal advertising partnerships. Their professionalism and creativity have left an indelible mark on this company and the overall industry.”

Marqués added: “We are grateful for the creativity and passion of the HCP team and their dedication to their customers.”
