8PM (HBO) MOVIE Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulou­s Emancipati­on of One Harley Quinn) Margot Robbie reprises her “Suicide Squad” role as Harley Quinn in this 2020 follow-up to that dark 2016 hit. Directed by Cathy Yan, this new entry follows Harley, who has cut ties with The Joker, as she teams up with crime heiress Helena Bertinelli (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), club singer Dinah Lance (Jurnee SmollettBe­ll) and police detective Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to rescue a teen pickpocket who has been kidnapped by a brutal crime lord (Ewan McGregor). Chris Messina and Ali Wong also are featured. 8PM (BBCA) Earthfligh­t The series embarks on a grand tour of “Europe” in this new episode, which sends cameras soaring with flocks of cranes and geese over such diverse landscapes as Venice, Edinburgh and the white cliffs of Dover. Meanwhile, white storks leave Africa and struggle to make it through their exhausting flight path to Istanbul, a gateway to Europe, while some 20 million starlings perform one of nature’s most dazzling aerial displays over the eternal city of Rome. David Tennant is the narrator.

9PM (DSC) Wicked Sharks Great White shark attacks off Cape Cod are starting to spike, affording an opportunit­y for shark expert Dr. Greg Skomal to break out some cutting-edge tech that will capture the shark’s point of view, providing new insights into how and where they hunt. His team hopes their research will enhance public safety in the area.

9PM (HALL) MOVIE Wedding Every Weekend After recently ending a relationsh­ip, Brooke Ethridge (Kimberley Sustad) isn’t happy to find herself back at the singles table at a wedding, the first of four consecutiv­e such nuptial events on her social calendar. Also present, and in the same boat, is a recent acquaintan­ce, Nate Thomas (Paul Campbell), who has his own reasons for being single. When they realize they have the same weddings coming up, they decide to become “wedding buddies,” but a misunderst­anding complicate­s that arrangemen­t of convenienc­e in this 2020 romance.

9PM (HIST) The UnXplained What compels a person to attempt impersonat­ing someone else? It may be part of some clever scam, but while most people often daydream of being someone else at some point, a new episode called “Leading Double Lives” looks at individual­s who took things a step further.
