- Craig Donoff passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2020 after battling lung cancer. Craig was born in Miami, Florida, on December 22, 1949. Beloved husband of Judi, devoted father to Lindsey Donoff (David Silverman), step-father to Matthew Nemeroff (Sara Hoffman), and Garrett Nemeroff (Lindsey Maultasch). Cherished grandpa to Jake, Luke, and Cole Silverman and Sadie Nemeroff. Brother to Rick Donoff (Elaine) and Barbara Donoff. Brothers-inlaw and sisters-in law to Sharon and Arnold Glass, Gerry and Reesa Niznick, and Joel Niznick and Barbara Powers. Craig also will be missed by many nieces and nephews and other family members. Craig was predecease­d by his parents Paul and Alice Donoff and his son Chase onoff. Craig graduated from University of Maryland with a business degree. He graduated from the American University Washington College of Law, Washington D.C., where he received his Juris

Doctor Law Degree. Craig had two Master of Law Degrees (LLM in Taxation and Estate Planning). He was one of the few attorneys in the United States with two LLM degrees. He went on to practice law for 46 years in Miami and Boca Raton. Not only was Craig well respected by his clients but in 1997 Craig was selected by his peers as a Leading Florida Attorney in the areas of Trusts and Estate Law and was the President of the Miami chapter of the Internatio­nal Associatio­n for Financial Planning (IAFP), remaining on the board of directors for many years. Craig was the founder and first president of the Boca Raton Estate Planning Council chapter. Craig has been recognized as the leader in providing education about estate planning through his newsletter­s and seminars. In addition, Craig authored several books. A well-known community leader, Craig sat on many boards including the Federation of South Palm Beach County, the Jewish Community Foundation of South Palm Beach County, the Profession­al Advisory Committee, part of Federation, and most recently The Friends of the Israeli Defense Force. He was a supporter of many charities including The Israeli Tennis Centers, FAU Center for Autism and Related disabiliti­es, Friends of the Israel Defense Force, The Peter Blum YMCA, and Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services to name a few. Craig was very committed to the importance of giving back. Craig was the honoree of the Hebrew University, Florida Atlantic University CARD (Center for Autism and Related Disabiliti­es), Temple Beth El Brotherhoo­d, Ruth and Norman Rales JFS, Israeli Bonds, and the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center for special needs, to name a few. Craig was an avid athlete and ran many marathons including the New York and the Boston Marathon. He was also a champion tennis player. He was always known to jog and work out every day. Craig loved tennis, skiing, travel and attending numerous sporting events. He had a passion for collecting autographs and pictures. He took great pleasure in seeing all his children grow into becoming successful, hard-working attorneys like himself. Craig took great pride and joy in the life that he and Judi created. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family will have private services on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at noon at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton, followed by strictly private burial and private shiva that evening. Donations can be made in his name to Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, allocated to the Judi and Craig Donoff Fund for Special Needs, 9901 Donna Klein Blvd., Boca Raton, Florida, 33428 or to Peter Blum YMCA of Boca Raton, 6631 Palmetto Circle S, Boca Raton, FL 33433 designated to the Chase Donoff Special Needs Program.
