Aventura, Florida - Ronald Reven Friedel

“That man is a success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much”

Ronald Friedel passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family having been blessed with a wonderful life. He is survived by his wife Sheila Suravsky Friedel, Sons; Lee M. Friedel DDS (wife Lanee Reicher Friedel), Alan E. Friedel DDS (wife Suzanne Jenkins Friedel); Daughter Faith Fix Cahill (husband John Cahill), six happily married grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and still counting!

Ron grew up in New York and graduated from the University of Miami in 1950. He began his career as the owner of Dodger Service Station, across the street from Ebbets Field where he owned an empty lot where players and fans would park before games.

When the Dodgers flew off to LA, Ron moved his family to the Miami area, investing in real estate and other business holdings including a hotel on South Beach, Orange Groves in Central Florida and shares in Thoroughbred Horses to name a few. He became a stock broker and was named the youngest manager ever of a Thompson McKinnon branch office.

Ron lived life on his own terms. He took special pleasure in mentoring others who valued his honest and forthright advice. He had the ability to speak with anyone, no matter what their station in life, and make them feel special. He had a keen mind for business and always conducted himself in the most ethical way he could.

A lover of the University of Miami, he was a voracious reader, who loved world travel and who relaxed in front of the TV or by playing golf. Most of all he loved spending time with family. He took a personal interest in every family member’s life. He learned how to use social media just to track their lives, often leaving comments when he could. He created meaningful memories by taking the entire family on Labor Day Weekend outings, or just by spending one on one time with every family member.

We who knew him best feel blessed that Ronald Reven Friedel touched our lives. He will not soon be forgotten.
