You can get a COVID-19 test or vaccine in South Florida on Thanksgiving Day, but your options are limited.

Retail pharmacies, including Publix, WinnDixie and Walmart, are closed Thursday. Walgreens stores are open, but their pharmacies are closed. CVS stores, including Navarro Discount Pharmacies, are open, but COVID-19 vaccines won’t be available on Thanksgiving.

All COVID-19 test and vaccine sites in MiamiDade, including at Dolphin Mall and Zoo Miami, close at 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and will resume normal hours on Friday.

There are a few exceptions:

The testing and vaccine ● sites at Tropical Park are closed Thursday and will

reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

The COVID-19 test sites at Hialeah Gardens Branch Library and at the Kendale Lakes Branch Library will be closed Thursday through Saturday.

Miami International

Airport’s two COVID-19 test sites are open on

Thanksgiving. Unlike at county-run sites, COVID-19 tests at the airport cost money.

One of the sites — run by Communitel, at Concourse E ground level median in front of Door 11 — is open 24 hours a day for walk-ins and appointments. For

testing costs or to schedule an appointment, call 305869-1161.

The other site, run by Nomi Health, near the Concourse H TSA checkpoint on the departure level at Door 20, is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily for walk-ins and appointments.

For testing costs or to schedule an appointment, visit the Nomi Health website or call 305-2800694 or toll free at 833685-0700.

How to find an open site near you

Use Miami-Dade County’s COVID-19 online test locator and vaccine locator. All of the listed sites close at 1 p.m. Thursday unless they have other hours in red text.

For Miami-Dade’s vaccine locator, visit miamidade.gov/vaccine. For a COVID-19 test, visit miamidade.gov/global/initiatives/coronavirus/testinglocations.page

BROWARD COUNTY

Most COVID-19 tests and vaccine sites in Broward County are closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. This includes C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Mill Ponds Park in Fort Lauderdale and Vizcaya Park in Miramar.

Some exceptions:

The vaccine site at

Vincent Torres Park, 4331 NW 36th St., in Lauderdale Lakes is close Thursday and Friday and will reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood

International Airport’s COVID-19 test site will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and Black Friday for passengers who provide proof of their FLL arrival or departure flight. The Nomi Healthrun testing site is in Terminal 3, pre-security on the lower level near baggage claim, and is accessible only from the curbside through Door 311 (follow signage).
