Texas-Arlington women upset USF

Terryn Milton scored 14 points to lead four in double figures and host Texas-Arlington upset No. 13 South Florida 61-56 on Thursday night.

South Florida (5-3), which entered with consecutiv­e wins against AP Top 10 teams Oregon and Stanford, lost for the first time this season against an unranked team. The Bulls previous losses were to then-No. 16 Tennessee and No. 2 UConn.

UT Arlington (5-2) used a 7-2 surge between the third and fourth quarters for a 48-42 lead with 3:35 to play. Milton had four points during the stretch. Syndi Harvey answered with a three-pointer but the Bulls didn’t get closer.

Bethy Mununga scored 13 points and had 20 rebounds for USF (5-3).

No. 2 NC State 66, No. 6 Indiana 58: Reserve Diamond Johnson scored 19 points, and the Wolfpack (7-1) used an 11-2 run late in the fourth quarter to pull away from the host Hoosiers (5-2).

No. 10 Louisville 70, No. 12 Michigan 48:

Emily Engstler had 18 points and 14 rebounds, Kianna

Smith added 14 points and the host Cardinals (6-1) used a 25-2 run over the first and second quarters to rout the Wolverines

(7-1) in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

No. 20 Georgia 66, Texas Tech 56: Que Morrison scored 20 points, Jenna Staiti had 12 points and nine rebounds, and the Bulldogs beat the host Red Raiders (6-2) in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

No. 24 Notre Dame 76, Michigan St. 71: Freshman Sonia Citron scored a career-high 29 points, classmate Olivia Miles missed a triple-double by two assists and the Fighting Irish (7-1) edged the host Spartans (6-3) in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
