8PM (LIFE) MOVIE Jailbreak Lovers Inspired by a true story, this 2022 drama stars Catherine Bell (“Good Witch”) as Toby, a conservative woman who grew up always following the rules. After she loses her job, Toby still tries to do the right thing by starting a non-profit charity to rescue and rehabilitate abused dogs at a local prison. That benevolent effort leads to an encounter with John (Tom Stevens, “The 100”), a younger inmate and convicted murderer. It’s only the first of several bad decisions, and soon the couple is on the run.

9 PM (SHO) MOVIE The Contractor Swedish filmmaker Tarik Saleh made his English-language feature directorial debut with this 2022 action drama, which stars Chris Pine as James Harper, a serviceman involuntarily discharged from the Army over his use of an illegal steroid to treat an injury. The only work he can find is performing clandestine operations for the Department of Defense, but when his new assignment goes awry, Harper finds himself hunted and on the run, caught in a dangerous conspiracy.
