‘Powerhouse’ couple looking to sell Miami Beach mansion for $45 million. Take a look
Pulling up stakes.
Local star developers Craig Robins and Jackie Soffer have put their South Florida mega-mansion on the market.
Price tag: $45 million. The Jills Zeder Group has the listing for the “serene haven of contemporary design” located in Sunset Islands off Miami Beach, between the Julia Tuttle Causeway to the north and Venetian to the south.
Built in 1940, the 9,000-square-foot waterfront residence, which the developers bought for $1.3 million in 1997, doesn’t lack for space, with seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two half-baths.
They needed it. Robins, president and CEO of Miami-based Dacra Development, co-founder and co-owner of Design Miami, and developer of the
Miami Design District; and Soffer, CEO and co-chair of Aventura-based Turnberry Associates real estate, have six kids altogether.
In 2015, the year Robins and Soffer married, the two-story property on Sunset Lake went through a fabulous upgrade and expansion. Famed New York architect Walter Chatham and interior designer Julie Hillman were brought in for the job.
Perhaps the highlight of the renovation is the curvaceous, snazzy master bath designed by late visionary Zaha Hadid, who was a close friend of the owners.
Other stellar standouts include an office/library, formal dining room, family/game room, breakfast nook, heated pool, gym, kitchen with eat-in cooking island, basketball court, two-car garage and guest house.
