Fred Martin Duquette February 12, 1950 - February 16, 2023

St. Augustine, Florida - Fred Duquette, age 72, of St. Augustine, passed away on February 17, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Detroit, MI and grew up on Barksdale Air Force Base, Shreveport, LA. At age 14, his family relocated to Miami, Florida where he graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High in 1969. Fred met the love of his live, Barbara, in junior high school, and they began dating during his senior year at Palmetto. They were married at St. Louis Catholic Church on July 1, 1972. They started their family in Miami and moved to Manassas, Virginia for 13 years. In 2012, they returned to Florida an settled in St. Augustine and Fred retired shortly thereafter. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and being an avid golfer, he was a member of USGA. He also enjoyed hunting with his friends and son, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Duquette; children

Valerie Duquette, Fred D. Duquette (Mallory) and Jeannette Williams (Brad); siblings Jon Duquette (Holly), Bill Duquette (Gladis) and Michael Duquette (Lori) and his grandchildren Taylor and Colton Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents, Col. Fred and Marie Duquette and sister Michelle Petrus.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at St. Johns Funeral Home.
