Nestlé recalls Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough across the U.S. after consumers found wood

- BY DAVID J. NEAL dneal@miamiherald.com

That might be wood in the dough — and nobody was happy to see it.

That’s why Nestlé USA made a not-food-in-yourfood recall of two batches of Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bars.

“While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, we are taking this action out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers contacted Nestlé USA about this issue,” the company said in a recall notice posted by the U.S.

Food and Drug Administration.

This covers batch Nos. 311457531K, which are best by 8/22/23, and 311557534K, which are best by 10/23/23.

Either toss the bars out or return them to stores for a full refund or replacement.

To get questions answered, call Nestlé USA at 800-681-1678, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Eastern time.
