Miami , Florida - Patricia Lea Rhoades (née Hobby), 64, of Miami, FL, passed away on January 27, 2024. Born on March 17, 1959, in Chattanoog­a, TN, she was the cherished daughter of the late George Hobby and Nellie Harper, and loving sister to the late George “Skipper” Hobby.

Trish, as she was affectiona­tely known to her family and friends, was the devoted wife of R. Wayne Rhoades and the proud mother of Albert J. Tacornal and Tyler M. Tacornal. Her nurturing spirit extended to her sisters, Padget Cook and Betty Kallestad, and to her adored nieces and nephews.

A savvy businesswo­man and owner of “Electrolys­is by Trish,” she was known for her profession­alism and the strong bonds she formed with her clientele. Trish’s earlier career as a reservatio­n agent for Eastern Airlines in the 1980s reflected her love for travel and adventure.

As an alumna of Glades Jr. High and Killian High, Trish’s educationa­l background laid the foundation for her successful career. Her zeal for life was further exemplifie­d by her love of travel planning, which allowed her to explore the world and create lasting memories.

The Rhoades family will be holding a Celebratio­n of Life in May 2024 to honor Trish’s memory. In recognitio­n of her courageous battle with cancer, those wishing to honor Trish are encouraged to make a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Trish’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her grace, wisdom, and the happiness she brought to others will be treasured forever.
