Belen Jesuit edges Calvary Christian in 2 OTs in lacrosse
Rafael Antun scored three goals, including the winner in double overtime as the Belen Jesuit boys’ lacrosse team edged Calvary Christian 7-6.
Trailing 6-2 in the third quarter, the victorious Wolverines rallied with four unanswered goals to force overtime.
Belen had a much easier time in its next game against Florida Christian.

WATER POLO
The Belen Jesuit boys went 3-1 at the Ian Supra Memorial Tournament in Orlando.
The Wolverines beat Windermere 21-7, West Orange 9-8 and defending state champion St. Thomas
Aquinas 8-7. Belen lost to Winter Park 12-11 in overtime.
Leading the team was Lucas Levy with 11 goals, 5 assists and 7 steals. Goalie Austin Marrero had 32 saves in the tournament.
Belen’s next game will be against Miami Country Day on March 11. The Wolverines are 6-2.
The Gulliver Prep girls’ team reached the finals of the Ian Supra Memorial Tournament, placing second overall.
In the semifinals, the Raiders beat Winter Park 14-6 as captain Kathleen Serig totaled 5 goals, 2 assists and 3 steals. Freshman Isabella Ten Have had 3 goals, 3 assists and 2 steals. Reese Rosenthal, a junior, added a goal, 2 assists and 3 steals. Julia Fogel, another junior, had 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.
In the final, Seminole edged Gulliver Prep 13-12 in overtime. The Raiders are 6-3.
The Gulliver Prep boys made it to the finals, too, dropping the title to Dr.
Phillips-Orlando 14-9.
In the semifinals, the Raiders (6-3) defeated Seminole 11-10 with captain Gabe Lewis recording 5 goals. He also had 2 assists and 3 steals. Senior Victor Gordon had 3 goals, 1 assist and 2 steals. Sophomore Sebastian Piedra added 5 assists and 3 steals, and sophomore Matthew Preston had 2 goals and 1 assist.
