opening as a popup vendor at Wynwood’s The Oasis in 2021, Prince Street Pizza is putting down roots in Miami Beach.

The New York pizza restaurant — of course it’s from New York; what isn’t from New York these days? — is planning to open its first brick-andmortar restaurant in Florida on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. The restaurant is scheduled to open this year; the Wynwood kiosk will close before the new spot opens, but there’s no set date yet.

The brand, which first opened in 2012 in New York City, also has locations in Toronto, Las Vegas and across Southern California.

Lawrence Longo, CEO of Prince Street Pizza, said the brand was looking forward to being part of Lincoln Road.

“The response we’ve received since our pop-up at Oasis has been overwhelmingly positive,” he said in a written statement. “We can’t wait to bring our signature pizzas to the vibrant community of Miami Beach and beAfter yond.” (Please note that “beyond.”)

Prince Street is known for its Sicilian-style slices and Neapolitan pizzas, including the Spicy Spring with Fra Diavolo sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella and pecorino romano and The Naughty Pie with spicy vodka sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, ricotta and Zab’s hot honey.

There’s also a vegan pizza with sweet marinara, vegan cheese and fresh basil.

The restaurant will also sell its sauces, including the Fra Diavolo spicy marinara and spicy vodka, at the new space, which is in the former Crocs store next to the Italian restaurant Rosinella.
