Miami, Florida - Thomas Lee Witherington, 77, passed away on April 21, 2024. Thomas is predeceased by his devoted wife, Beckie White Witherington. Their enduring love remains etched in the hearts of those who knew them. Thomas was born to Dorothy and Julian Witherington in Savannah, Georgia on March 2, 1947. Thomas was a beloved husband and father to two children, his son, George Thomas Witherington, and his daughter, Gina Leora Witherington Derbidge, whose lives he enriched with wisdom and kindness, will forever cherish his memory.Thomas was an adventurer at heart. His love for the open waters led him to explore the world through boating, scuba diving, and fishing. Beyond the waves, Thomas expressed his creativity on canvas and etchings. His watercolors captured the essence of the nature. His art reflected the depth of his soul.Thomas was a perpetual tinkerer. There was always a project underway at his home. While he was able, his hands were never idle, and his ingenuity knew no bounds.

And when it came to food, Thomas was a connoisseur. He relished good meals, whether it was a hearty seafood gumbo or a perfectly grilled steak. His kitchen was a place of experimentation and joy. As we bid farewell to Thomas Witherington, we remember a man who lived life fully, embraced adventure, and left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
