With web series “Eat Travel Rock,” realtor turned foodie journalist Kelly Rizzo captures tastes and tunes from around the world.

Breaking through the clutter of travel bloggers and foodie grammers is no easy feat. It helps when you have a genuine thirst for adventure and easy on-camera vibe like 37-year-old Chicago native Kelly Rizzo, the charming host of her own hit YouTube series and blog, “Eat Travel Rock.” A longtime Chicago realtor, Rizzo traverses the globe to interview rising-star chefs and rock stars at local hangouts—ideating, curating, and location scouting at every turn. As the slickly produced global travel series enters its third season, Rizzo takes us behind the scenes.

Most surprising interview: “I love Dee Snider—he’s a consummate rock star, but not what you’d expect: sweet and not the least bit intimidating.” Fashion sensibility: “I’m obsessed with ripped jeans, a cool leather jacket, my

Frye boots and Rails buttondown shirts,” Rizzo says, who effortlessly pulls off her casual, rocker-chic look. On romance: “Bob [Saget] and I met through a mutual friend in early 2015. I don’t really see him as Danny Tanner [his famous character in

Full House and Netflix’s Fuller House]. To me he’s just Bobby, my love.” Favorite city outside Chicago: Zermatt, Switzerland, in the Swiss Alps. “It’s the only place you can ski and snowboard 365 days a year.” Rizzo reveals her favorite Chicago hangouts at michigan avemag.com
