With a major new watch boutique and several noteworthy new collections, all that glitters for 2017 is on Oak Street.

More than ever, the Gold Coast is living up to its name, as Oak Street and its environs beckon with some of the city’s most premier jewelry destinations—including these three must-shop spots for spring.

Room for luxury. The Razny family is Chicagoarea jewelry royalty; the latest gem in their crown is a sprawling new Europeanstyle space that recently opened on Oak Street and devotes three stories and 7,500-plus square feet to two of the world’s most renowned timepiece brands. “When you’re selling luxury at the level of Patek Philippe and Rolex, the relationship becomes a friendship,” says Stan Razny of the boutique’s event-ready second-floor lounge and private showrooms. 109 E. Twinkling pieces from new collections at Graff Diamonds make a statement as winter melts away. “The whimsy of the floral Peony collection, the ultra-chic pear-shape hoops, and, of course, the glamorous bombe earrings— there’s something for everyone,” director Eve Rogers says. 103 E. The organic drops, posts and pendants that make up AMT Jewelry’s Rose Soleil collection at Oak Street-adjacent Marshall Pierce & Company were inspired by romance: Local designer Alecia Bern looked to earrings she created for her own 2014 wedding to guide each piece. Says Bern, “[The collection is] really elegant and wearable.” 960 N. Michigan Ave., 312-6424299; marshallpierce.com
