WHEN IT COMES TO MUST-HAVE SPRING ACCESSORIES, FASHION QUEEN I RAM GOLDMAN IS ALL ABOUT THESE PLAYFUL, PERFECTLY CHIC PINS.

- BY J.P. ANDERSON

When it comes to must-have spring accessories, fashion queen Ikram Goldman is all about these playful, perfectly chic pins.

Leave it to Chicago boutique owner Ikram Goldman to unearth an essential spring accessory that isn’t just fashionable—it’s a whimsical comment on fashion itself: Luxembourg-based designer Anne-marie Herckes’s stunning pins and brooches, which are festooned with miniature 2-D heels, jackets, and oh-so-tasteful tweeds. “I found Anne-marie at a Paris trade show where there are hundreds and hundreds of exhibitors,” Goldman explains,

“and she stood out so brilliantly because of the humor of each piece. The fact that you can find the perfect ballet shoe with the perfect little leather jacket and the perfect little denim pants—they’re like children’s paper doll clothes, but she’s using a very stylish, classic look that’s visually forever.” Even better, says Goldman, the pieces can be used in myriad ways. “You can take a very basic black sweater and throw a pin on. You have a little scarf, or a great jacket, or a bag—you can throw one of these pins on.

It’s infinite playfulness.” $225–$250 at Ikram, 15 E. Huron St., 312-5871000; ikram.com
