BEHIND THE BOX SCORE

Dodgers manager didn’t make it far into the game. Mattingly was ejected in the third inning for arguing a balk call on Clayton Kershaw by first base umpire Paul Emmel. The balk was called when Kershaw picked off pitcher Kyle Lohse, who had singled with two down to become the Brewers’ first base-runner.

Most left-handers don’t hit Kershaw well, but Gerardo Parra is an exception. With a pinch-hit RBI triple off Kershaw in the sixth inning, Parra raised his career batting average against Kerhsaw to .370 (10 for 27).
