THURSDAY HIGHLIGHTS
7 p.m. WISN The Astronaut Wives
Club The summer series based on Lily Koppel’s book concludes with the appropriately titled “Landing,” about events surrounding Apollo 11’s historic 1969 touchdown on the moon. Several of the wives discuss the mission for a television documentary, but Gordon Cooper’s (Bret Harrison) future in the space program is anything but assured, prompting his spouse Trudy (Odette Annable) to make major decisions. Movie maker Jon Amiel (“Copycat”) directed the episode.
7 p.m. WVTV Beauty and the Beast Vincent and Liam (Jay Ryan, guest star Jason Gedrick) are unlikely colleagues, but that’s just what they become when available evidence on them sends them on a shared retrieval mission in the new episode “Unbreakable.” While they’re immersed in the undertaking, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) gets information on Liam that she tries to get to Vincent in time. Austin Basis, Nina Lisandrello and Nicole Gale Anderson also star.
8 p.m. WISN Mistresses April’s (Rochelle Aytes) relationship with Blair (guest star Brian White) takes a hit because of the former’s guilt about Daniel, but all the drama draws April closer to Lucy (guest star Corinne Massiah) in the new episode “Guilt By Association.” Elsewhere, Karen (Yunjin Kim) tells Alec and Vivian (guest stars Ed Quinn and Sonja Bennett) about the baby and, while Alec is stunned at first, it looks as if there’s a chance they can form an unconventional family unit — until Vivian drops a bombshell of her own.
8 p.m. LIFE Project Runway Traditionally, the designers on this show hate being forced to work in teams, so expect some tension in this new episode as they are forced to do just that for a challenge that asks them to draw inspiration from travel destinations and exotic locations for looks that can transition from day to night. Actress Tracee Ellis Ross (“black-ish”) is a guest judge. 9 p.m. FX Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll Johnny (Denis Leary) has made some tentative progress toward building a relationship with long-estranged daughter Gigi (Elizabeth Gillies), even if it’s mostly of the “two steps forward, one step back” variety, but she suggests that it’s time for him to demonstrate his fatherly commitment in a more tangible way by getting a tattoo of her name. John Corbett and Elaine Hendrix also star in the new episode “Tattoo You.”
9 p.m. SYFY Dominion A desperate Alex (Christopher Egan) finds unexpected shelter where he can care for the wounded Noma (Kim Engelbrecht), although the New Delphi army remains hot on their trail in the new episode “Lay Thee Before Kings.” Elsewhere, Gabriel and Michael (Carl Beukes, Tom Wisdom) revisit a shared past that haunts them both as they struggle to escape their captivity. Claire (Roxanne McKee), meanwhile, calls for a risky parlay as David (Anthony Head) takes steps to secure his legacy in Vega.
