SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS

-

7 p.m. HALL Cedar Cove Tensions rise between Paul and Jack (Colin Ferguson, Dylan Neal) during Cedar Cove’s annual charity baseball game, as Paul’s visiting sister (guest star Emily Holmes) pries into her brother’s relationship with Olivia (Andie MacDowell) — just as Olivia and Jack have decided to work on their own relationship. In Seattle, Jack clashes with Jeri (Julia Benson) when she declines to run an exclusive expose he has landed. Teryl Rothery and Elyse Levesque also star in the new episode “Batter Up.”

7 p.m. LIFE Movie: The Unauthorized Full House Story Expectations were pretty low for “Full House,” a pedestrian-looking family sitcom, when the show premiered on ABC in 1987, but despite unenthusiastic reviews, the series clicked with viewers and became the flagship of ABC’s “TGIF” Friday programming block. This new TV movie finds a cast of mostly unknowns playing Bob Saget, John Stamos et al. as these actors found themselves part of a pop-culture phenomenon that ran for 192 episodes. Garrett Brawith, Stephanie Bennett and Justin Gaston star.

8 p.m. WTMJ Aquarius Hodiak (David Duchovny) continues to be troubled by his son Walt (Chris Sheffield), trying to ensure that a plea deal stays in place before the young man can thwart it, in the season finale “Old Ego Is a Too Much Thing.” The expectant Mary (Abby Miller) puts a halt to a showdown between Emma and Sadie (Emma Dumont, Ambyr Childers). Manson (Gethin Anthony) lures Karn (Brian F. O’Byrne) back in. Xander Berkeley (“Salem”) guest stars.

9 p.m. WTMJ Hannibal Outside help is recruited — in the form of Dr. Frederick Chilton (guest star Raul Esparza) — by Will (Hugh Dancy) and the FBI to catch “Red Dragon” Francis Dolarhyde (guest star Richard Armitage) in the new episode “The Number of the Beast is 666 ... .” Will seems unusually sympathetic toward Dolarhyde, prompting a warning from Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) that turns out to be extremely well-placed. Mads Mikkelsen and Laurence Fishburne also star.

9 p.m. HBO Tig Notaro: Boyish Girl Interrupted One of the freshest and most articulate comics currently on the scene, the Grammy-nominated performer shares some highly personal experiences — including the 2012 cancer diagnosis that resulted in a double mastectomy — during this new stand-up concert at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston. Other topics range from searching for the perfect Santa Claus to taking her fiancee to meet her family in Mississippi and her delight in sending deliberately misleading texts to friends.

10 p.m. TBS America’s Next Weatherman Doing live remotes is a major component in the routine of any meteorologist, who must be prepared to deal with any distractions. In the new episode “Breaking News,” the weathercasters deal with hecklers while giving their first report out in the field. Back at the studio, there’s a simulation of catastrophic breaking news.
