2-MINUTE DRILL SOUNDING OFF . . . WHAT FANS ARE SAYING AT JSONLINE.COM

Favre elected to Hall of Fame

WoodStock: I find it interesting that the people who criticize Favre for his interceptions conveniently never mention the zillion touchdowns that the guy threw. Another thing that is never mentioned is Favre had a three or four step dropback and got rid of the ball and rarely had to scramble or got sacked. That created a nice rhythm for the offensive line and WRs to operate with.

SamGB: More than anything else, we could all see it was a game to him. He played with a exuberance, reckless abandon and joy we have not seen before or since, yet he was tough as nails and blue collar all the way. Remember the run blocking he did on occasion?

Dixon 2: “Never came off the field.” Ron Wolf rightly identifies Favre’s greatest achievement. His continuous game streak is simply amazing. I was at that game vs the Bengals when Favre replaced Majik and brought the team back to win with a TD to Kittrick Taylor. So began the streak. One of the toughest to ever play.

Recent winning streak for Badgers

EddieMatthews: The NCAA path is clear. Win the two remaining home games and at Minnesota and that leaves road games at Maryland, Michigan State, Iowa, and Purdue; all 4 probably top 15 teams. Even losing all four leaves the Badgers at 10-8 and probably good enough for the dance.

badgers forevermore: If Bo wanted an excuse to retire and leave Greg Gard as interim coach, he should not have waited until the Corpus Christi game. After the loss to Western Illinois, he should have called it quits. Gard would have had time to get them playing his way, the Badgers would have beaten Marquette, UWM, and by the time the conference season started they would have been good enough to beat Northwestern and not be on the bubble as much now.

Racine Lifer: The Badgers control their own destiny. Great recovery to the rocky start. It’s fun living and dying on every possession knowing they have little margin for error. I’m enjoying the heck out of if.

Growing pains for Bucks

WANTWO: We will learn shortly if management is satisfied as the trade deadline approaches. Hopefully ‘the right stuff” is in place soon and the constant flux stops.

J. Bauman: At least another year needed to assess the restructuring of this roster. Give these players some time to mature, grow physically, and build some chemistry.
