Theaters deck the halls with Christmas movies Neighborho­od Theater Group’s ‘Five Days of Christmas’ IPic’s Christmas Classics

Most of Milwaukee’s movie theaters are bringing back holiday chestnuts in December. Here’s a look at Christmas movies coming to town this month.

The Avalon Theater, 2473 S. Kinnickinn­ic Ave., and the Times Cinema, 5906 W. Vliet St., are showing weekend matinees of Christmas classics starting Saturday. General admission is $5. Avalon Theater Saturday: 10:30 a.m., “A Christmas Story” (1983)

Dec. 10: 11 a.m., “A Christmas Carol” (1938)

Dec. 17: 10:30 a.m., “White Christmas” (1954)

Dec. 24-25: 10:30 a.m., “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946)

Times Cinema

Saturday: 10:30 a.m., “Home Alone” (1990)

Dec. 10: 10:30 a.m., “Miracle on 34th Street” (1947)

Dec. 17: 10:30 a.m., “A Christmas Story” (1983)

Dec. 24-25: 10:30 a.m., “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946)

Marcus Theatres’ Holiday Classics

Marcus’ Majestic, Menomonee Falls, Ridge and South Shore cinemas are showing some Christmas favorites at noon on Sundays and 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays starting this Sunday. Tickets are $5. Here’s the lineup.
