- CHELSEY LEWIS MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL

As home to legends Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, Brett Favre and now Aaron Rodgers, plus a passionate fan base and legendary stadium, it’s no surprise that Green Bay is a great city for sports fans.

But according to WalletHub, it’s not just great — it’s the best midsize sports city in the country.

The personal finance website compared more than 400 cities on 50 metrics ranging from performance level of the city’s teams (football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer) to average ticket price game.

New York topped the overall list. Green Bay came in at No. 13 overall, but ranked first among all cities for football fans.

The list was based on geotagged photos from the social media website’s 500 million active users. The University of WisconsinMadison, Miller Park, Devil’s Lake State Park and the Milwaukee Art Museum rounded out Wisconsin’s top five most popular places to snap a picture and share on Instagram.
