Thomas Smith: The most laughable play of the day was seeing #25 Richard Sherman get pancaked on his a** by Davante Adams on the jet sweep touchdown. I’m sure it was gratifying for Adams to put Sherman on his back after taking a cheap shot from Sherman in the first half. I will never understand why a few elite players, like Sherman, feel they need to do those things.
All-area football: Franklin’s Brown is coach of year John Poulos:
I played under Coach Brown 11 years ago. He heard about my son’s illness this year and invited him on the sideline with the players for any remaining games. This is a good man. He teaches the young men to give back and stand for something.
Tony Psicihulis: Coach Brown was my football and wrestling coach throughout high school. My freshman year was his 1st year coaching both. He was always the Coach who would push you to your potential and dedicated himself to the entire team. Congratulations Coach Brown , they couldn’t have picked a better man!
