GAME REPORT

- Charles F. Gardner

THREE TAKEAWAYS

No. 1: Karl-Anthony Towns took advantage of a matchup against John Henson and muscled his way inside early in the game. Towns had six points and five rebounds in his first 9-minute stint. Bucks coach Jason Kidd later switched Jabari Parker to the defensive assignment against Towns, and Giannis Antetokounmpo defended him in the fourth quarter.

No. 2: Shabazz Muhammad continued to look like an all-star against the Bucks. He hit 6 of 7 shots and scored 17 points in the first half, bettering his previous season-high (for a game) of 15 points. He finished with 22 points in 18 minutes and made 4 of 5 three-pointers.

No. 3: Malcolm Brogdon started at point guard and had 11 points in 28 minutes. But the offense did not run smoothly early in the game with Matthew Dellavedova out of the lineup for the first time this season. Dellavedova also will miss Saturday's game after straining his right hamstring on Wednesday against Detroit.

UP NEXT

Teams: Milwaukee Bucks (15-16) vs. Chicago Bulls (16-17). When: 6 p.m. Where: United Center. About the Bulls: Former Bucks guard Michael Carter-Williams will face Milwaukee for the first time since the October trade that sent him to Chicago in exchange for shooting guard Tony Snell. He might be in the starting lineup after Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg benched point guard Rajon Rondo in the second half of Chicago’s 111-101 loss at Indiana on Friday. Carter-Williams had 12 points and eight rebounds in 27 minutes against the Pacers. Dwyane Wade suffered a migraine headache during Wednesday’s win over Brooklyn and missed most of the fourth quarter. But he is hoping to play against the Bucks in the second of a back-to-back set. Milwaukee swept the Bulls in a back-to-back situation earlier this month, including a 95-69 victory at the United Center.
