SOUNDING OFF... WHAT JSONLINE READERS ARE SAYING

PACKERS’ SECONDARY VS. LIONS?

Neal Richter: We know the secondary has problems, mostly because of injuries. Losing Shields really has hurt and some of the guys who are playing are gutting it out with injuries. The good news is, the other teams in the playoffs have issues, too, with the possible exception of the Cowboys.

Ryan Boyer: The defensive backs were one of the stronger areas on the team last year. No Shields and a beat up Rollins and Randall is not a recipe for success. Look how much better Davante Adams has played compared to last year because of health.

Ron Joseph: Capers prevent defense usually prevents wins and makes me want to throw something at the TV. If putting pressure on a quarterback helps the team to lead through three quarters, why quit that in the fourth? Dance with the girl that brung ya!

Robert Vincent: I can assure all Packer fans that if the Packers lose, it will be the result of Capers defense. Since they won the SB in 2010 Capers defenses have been the main reason the Packers have not returned to the Super Bowl at least two and possibly three other times.

Wanderer BM: The Lions’ secondary is just as bad, if not even worse. This is shaping up to be a shootout. I think it will boil down to two things: in-game injuries and pass rush.

MARQUETTE WINS FIRST BIG EAST GAME

Paz Malano: I have been one of Wojo’s biggest critics. But, I have to admit that the way Marquette played last night is exactly the style and result that the Coach has been promising. Great win, but long way to go.

Scott Mate: The Big East is much more balanced. What I really like is we have an absolute Big East all-star in Marcus Howard. He will be our Josh Hart for 4 years.

ROOKIE BROGDON PLAYING WELL FOR BUCKS

Robert James: Brogdon can play with anybody. He does fit in with the starters. Brogdon playing with the big dogs won’t be an issue. Not much chemistry will be disrupted

Doug Nelsen: Brogdon should be starting and throwing up threes. Delly has been a disappointment, and the sample size is big enough to say that now.
