Left needs to calm down
The president of the United States is not a king. In fact, after the Continental Army defeated King George III in the Revolutionary War, America’s Founding Fathers purposely designed the new nation’s government in such a way that areas of responsibility were divided among three coequal branches of government. Our Founding Fathers wisely created this separation of powers and allowed for a system of checks and balances in order to prevent sole political power from once again falling into the hands of a king.
With that being said, Donald Trump is not a king; he is the president-elect of the U.S. Trump is the new leader of the executive branch, and, as such, he must work with the legislature and the judiciary, the two other coequal branches of government.
The political left needs to collectively take a deep breath and calm down. Everything will be OK, because Trump is not the new king. Democrats and the liberal media need to stop perpetuating mass hysteria around the notion that Trump is trying to usurp an undue amount of power and influence for himself. While it is true that Trump is about to become the most powerful person on the planet as the newly elected leader of the free world, his power is not absolute.
People can rightly or wrongly call Trump many things, but one thing that he most certainly is not is king. Trump is the ultimate showman, which he has proven over and over again throughout the course of his life. He is also a sensational salesman and prolific promoter. The U.S. is blessed to have Trump as the man promoting American interests here at home and all across the globe.
