Man fatally shot while driving

Milwaukee police investigat­e a fatal shooting Wednesday near N. 35th St. and W. North Ave. Police said a man was killed when one or more shooters fired into the vehicle he was driving shortly before 11 a.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police were seeking suspects in the shooting Wednesday.

One person was killed and five others wounded in five separate shootings within a 24-hour period Tuesday and Wednesday on Milwaukee’s north and northwest sides, police said.

A man whose age was not available was shot to death shortly before 11 a.m., Wednesday while driving in the 3500 block of W. North Ave., according to a news release from the Milwaukee Police Department.

One or more assailants fired into the man’s vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who were seeking suspects in the shooting Wednesday.

Two other men, both 19, were wounded in two separate shootings Wednesday, one shortly before 10 a.m. in the 5600 block of N. 41st St., the other shortly after 3 p.m. in the 3300 block of N. 26th St., police said.

Both men suffered injuries that are not lifethreat­ening, according to police, who were also seeking suspects in those shootings Wednesday.

On Tuesday a 46-yearold man walked into a hospital after being shot shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of W. Locust St., police said.

The man suffered an injury that is not lifethreat­ening and was not being forthcomin­g about the incident, police said.

Also Tuesday, two males, ages 17 and 18, shot each other shortly after 6:30 p.m. near N. 76th St. and W. Capitol Drive, according to police.

Both teens suffered injuries that are not lifethreat­ening, police said.
