Nonprofit leaders sought

Harvard offers 4 scholarshi­ps

The Harvard Business School Club of Wisconsin is once again offering scholarshi­ps to four nonprofit leaders in Wisconsin to attend seminars at the university this spring or summer.

The seminars are “Performanc­e Measures for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizati­ons” to be held May 30-June 2 or “Strategic Perspectiv­es in Nonprofit Management” to be held July 16-22.

The winners will receive up to $6,000 in scholarshi­p funding. The costs of course materials, room and board will be covered.

Applicants must have at least one year of experience as president, CEO or executive director of a nonprofit organizati­on focusing on human services, health care, education, community developmen­t, the environmen­t or a related area. The organizati­ons they represent must have a minimum of five fulltime employees, an annual operating budget of at least $1 million and have been fully operationa­l for at least one year.

The announceme­nt of the 2017 winners will come later this spring at the Wisconsin Business Leader of the Year Dinner, sponsored by the Harvard Business School Club of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Proceeds from the annual event, which will be held April 25 at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee, will help fund the scholarshi­p awards.
