Harvard offers 4 scholarships
The Harvard Business School Club of Wisconsin is once again offering scholarships to four nonprofit leaders in Wisconsin to attend seminars at the university this spring or summer.
The seminars are “Performance Measures for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations” to be held May 30-June 2 or “Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management” to be held July 16-22.
The winners will receive up to $6,000 in scholarship funding. The costs of course materials, room and board will be covered.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience as president, CEO or executive director of a nonprofit organization focusing on human services, health care, education, community development, the environment or a related area. The organizations they represent must have a minimum of five fulltime employees, an annual operating budget of at least $1 million and have been fully operational for at least one year.
The announcement of the 2017 winners will come later this spring at the Wisconsin Business Leader of the Year Dinner, sponsored by the Harvard Business School Club of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Proceeds from the annual event, which will be held April 25 at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee, will help fund the scholarship awards.
