Cline, Purdue prevail in OT
Ryan Cline scored six of his 11 points in overtime to lift No. 14 Purdue to a 7470 victory over Penn State on Tuesday night in State College, Pa.
Cline hit consecutive three-pointers to secure his team’s sixth straight win in a game the Boilermakers led for just 9 minutes, 16 seconds.
Vincent Edwards added 14 points, Isaac Haas chipped in 13 and Dakota Mathias scored 12 for the Boilermakers (23-5, 12-3 Big Ten).
Tony Carr scored 21 points for Penn State (1414, 6-9).

UW-La Crosse 76, UWEau Claire 66: Ben Meinholz had 24 points and the visiting Eagles (14-12) upset the Blugolds (18-8) in another first-round WIAC game.
The Eagles will play at top-seeded UW-River Falls on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Carthage 75, Wheaton 73: Brad Kruse’s layup with one second left gave the host Red Men (18-7, 11-5 CCIW) a victory over the Thunder (12-13, 8-8).
Carthage ended in a three-way tie for first in the conference with North Park and Augustana.
Elmhurst 73, Carroll 70: Derek Dotlich hit two free throws with five seconds to go and the host Bluejays (7-17, 3-12 CCIW) outlasted the Pioneers (1311, 8-7).
