Panthers advance to WBI semis

LORETTO, Pa. – The UW-Milwaukee women’s basketball team made 12 of 14 late free throws to secure a 67-57 win over St. Francis in a Women’s Basketball Invitational quarterfinal at DeGol Arena.

Jamie Reit poured in a career-high 15 points to lead UWM (22-11) past the Red Flash (17-15) for the second postseason win in program history. UWM advances to the semifinals against UNC-Greensboro at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Steph Kostowicz recorded her secondstraight double-double in the postseason with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
