EDUCATORS: Hoover is new CEO of credit union
Linda Hoover has been named chief executive and president of Educators Credit Union. Hoover succeeds longtime CEO Gene Szymczak, who died in December. Hoover had been interim chief executive since Szymczak’s death. The appointment is effective immediately, Educators said Wednesday. “Her work ethic is second to none, as is her integrity,” Mary Lueneburg, chairwoman of the Educators board, said in a statement announcing Hoover as new CEO. “As a board, we see in her a leader who can inspire by example as well as by her ability to sort through the minutiae to chart a course forward.” Mount Pleasant based Educators, with assets of about $1.7 billion, is the sixth-largest credit union headquartered in Wisconsin.
