BASEBALL Ishmael Colon, Milwaukee Bradley Tech:

The Trojans senior helped his team earn a split with Milwaukee Pulaski/Carmen last week by totaling seven bases on two hits and getting a pitching victory. Tuesday he struck out eight in 4 1⁄3 innings and hit a home run in an 8-5 victory. Thursday he went 1 for 3 with a triple and two runs batted in an 18-17 loss.

SOFTBALL Nadalia Haita, Whitnall:

The senior’s first hits of the season were big ones. She blasted two home runs in a 14-1 victory over Wilmot on Wednesday. The shots brought home three runs as the Falcons won at home to improve to 3-0.

BOYS GOLF Robbie Morway, Homestead:

The Highlander­s senior took on two of the state’s top courses and won the Sheboygan North Invite by two strokes Thursday. On Day 1, Morway shot a 4-over 76 on the Irish Course at Whistling Straits. On Day 2, Morway was 3-over 74 at Blackwolf Run. Not only was his twoday total of 150 the best out of a field of 140 but his rounds were the low round each day.

GIRLS SOCCER Faith Preisinger, West Bend West:

The sophomore forward helped the Spartans upset Nicolet, 3-1, Tuesday. Nicolet entered play ranked ninth in Division 2 by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Associatio­n, but fell behind, 2-0, thanks to goals by Preisinger in the sixth and 16th minutes. She added another goal in a 9-0 victory over Milwaukee Lutheran on Thursday that pushed her team’s record to 4-0-1.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD Saxton Williams, Brookfield East:

The Spartans hosted their annual invitation­al Tuesday and Williams, one of the team’s seniors, won three events and anchored what could be the top 400-meter relay time in the state this season when the next honor roll is released. Williams teamed with juniors Morris Seaton, Caleb Wright and Justin Parbs to win in 43.63 seconds. Williams also took the 200 in 22.56 and the long jump with a mark of 21 feet.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD Armoni Brown, Waukesha South:

The junior stood out on the track and in the field at West Allis Hale’s Mondo Invitation­al on April 15. She won the 100 with a state-best time of 12.26 and captured the long jump with a mark of 18-6. That was a quarter of an inch less than her season-best of 18-61⁄4, which ranks third in the state, according to the wisconsin track online honor roll. Brown also teamed up with Daeonna Johnson, Jestine Green and Harahzon Veasley to win the 400 relay in 49.64, the No. 2 time in the state this season.
