2-MINUTE DRILL

SOUNDING OFF...

- WHAT FANS ARE SAYING AT JSONLINE.COM

Packers trade first round pick to Browns John Garbarino: With big needs in the secondary and at pass rusher, to think we’re going to get immediate help in the second, third or fourth round of any draft is foolish. Getting one starter for a Super Bowl contender in these rounds would be striking gold. All these picks look more like a rebuilding team than a contender. Darrin Stohlberg: Packers trading down to address those immediate needs on the practice squad. Jackson Foster: Ted Thompson as GM equals 1 Super Bowl in 11 years with two Hall of Fame QBs. Look for more mediocrity again in 2017-2018. 8-8 this year. Pete Fritz: A Hall of Fame QB is not a free pass to a Super Bowl trophy. It should make you appreciate the ones we have all that much more. Packer fans since 1992 have been spoiled with great football. 10-plus wins again this year.

Bucks fall to Raptors in playoffs Lawrence Berg: Plenty to build on, and a good Coach. Keep it going. James Mayer: First half snooze, Bucks lose. Exciting comeback but not getting off the last shot was sad. Henry Matuszak: My mind has run the gauntlet of emotions in evaluating the game. While I am proud the Bucks didn’t go down without a fight, it was disappointing to see the season come to an end. It was disappointing to see a second game in the series get away in the final two minutes.

Eric Thames defiant about drug testing Michael Gillick: It is a shame to ignore and insult the enormous amount of work this young man has put in to building up his abilities. I suppose they would also have accused Henry Aaron too. Congratulations to Mr. Thames for standing up to it. Dennis Werth: Thank you David Stearns and his department. Kenneth Marshall: Eight of his 11 home runs have been against the Reds. If they were spread out against other teams it might be more suspicious.

Watt goes to Steelers, not Packers Rob Garity: One challenge with Green Bay is finding players that don’t mind the small town atmosphere, and don’t mind the weather. Both Watt and Ryan Ramczyk would have loved being here and both played positions of need. Randy James Buchan: The majority of scouts and NFL executives Bob McGinn interviewed pegged Watt as a second third rounder. The Cowboys saw that as well. Questionable knees too.
