Mothers get free admission Sunday at the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Blue Mound Road. The zoo is open on Mother’s Day from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; admission for non-moms is $14.25; $13.25 for seniors 60 and older; $11.25 for kids ages 3 to 12; and free for children 2 and younger. Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 Boerner Drive, Hales Corners, hosts a free family Mother’s Day event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Kids can plant flowers and make daffodil crafts as gifts for their mothers (and grandmothers). Regular admission to the gardens is $5.50; $4.50 for students (with ID), Milwaukee County seniors (with ID) and people with disabilities; and $3.50 for kids ages 6 to 17. Can’t decide which museum to take Mom to? On
Milwaukee Museum Mile Day, you don’t have to. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, there’s free admission at four East Side museums — Jewish Museum Milwaukee, 1360 N. Prospect Ave.; Charles Allis Art Museum, 1801 N. Prospect Ave.; Museum of Wisconsin Art at St. John’s on the Lake, 1800 N. Prospect Ave.; and Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, 2220 N.
