Get remodeling inspiration on NARI tour of homes
16 houses to be open this weekend
The Milwaukee area housing climate is hot, and except for high-end houses, the supply of existing homes for sale generally is considered thin. That is driving up prices and making it a seller’s market.
But if you’re already a homeowner with a good mortgage interest rate and a location you like, why not stay where you are and remodel?
That’s a question Milwaukee NARI, an association of home remodelers, hopes you’ll ask yourself.
And to help convince you that fixing up a home might be your best move of all, NARI has arranged to open 16 homes in the metro Milwaukee area this weekend so consumers can come in to take a look at the work and meet some of the people who did it.
“It’s a good opportunity to actually meet their contractor in person, to see their work in person instead of through photos,” said Jake Ruiz, owner of QRS Group, whose own personal house at 810 S. 89th St. in West Allis is among locations on the two-day Milwaukee NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes. “You get a feel for the company in general and the type of work that they can do, the different options that they can offer.”
The 18th annual Milwaukee NARI tour — NARI is short for
National Association of the Remodeling Industry — features a variety of projects. The projects and locations:
