The Milwaukee Art Museum’s MAM After
Dark takes over the museum from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday. The proceedings center around the exhibit “Milwaukee Collects,” which is in its final weekend at the museum, 700 N. Art Museum Drive. Admission is $12 at the door, free for art museum members.

Watch students from 45 Milwaukee-area schools put on their dancing shoes and take part in Danceworks’ Mad Hot Ballroom
and Tap competition at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N. 4th St. The competition starts at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with the finals and awards coming at 4 p.m. Admission is free. Info: danceworksmke .org
The 18th annual Milwaukee NARI Tour of
Remodeled Homes includes 16 recently completed projects in Wauwatosa, Waukesha, Greendale, Fox Point, Muskego, West Allis, Elm Grove, Whitefish Bay and Mequon. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door of the projects, with proceeds going to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation; advance tickets are available Friday at the Milwaukee NARI office, 11815 W. Dearbourn Ave., Wauwatosa, and online. The tour runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Coffee House, the folk and performance venue in Redeemer Lutheran Church at 1905 W. Wisconsin Ave., marks its 50th anniversary with a celebration Saturday. Workshops on different slices of the Coffee House’s mission, from spoken-word performance and poetry to children’s songs and social justice music, run from 2 to 6 p.m., with a potluck dinner at 6 and the anniversary concert at 7 p.m. Performers include folk stalwarts Bill Camplin, Fox and Branch, and Lou and Peter Berryman, among others. Tickets are a freewill offering of $5.

The Milwaukee County Zoo’s annual Party for the Planet Saturday and Sunday includes games and activities centered on learning about the planet and its resources — and ways to keep both around a little longer. Admission is $14.25, $13.25 for seniors 60 and older, $11.25 for kids ages 3 to 12, and free for children younger than 3. Parking is $12. The zoo is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
