Throughout Wisconsin: Free Fun Weekend. It’s a weekend of free outdoor fun across the state, with free admission to state parks and forests and fees waived for biking, ATV riding and fishing. Camping fees still apply. See wiparks.net.
The weekend coincides with National Trails Day on June 4. Trails around the state will host events, including the new Rock River Water Trail, which runs along the Rock River from Fond du Lac County to the Mississippi River in Rock Island, Ill. A grand opening will take place at 10 a.m. June 3 at the Rotary River Center in Beloit. See rockrivertrail.com.
Delafield: Party in the Park. Celebrate the start of summer with music from Funhouse and Nora Collins from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 3 at SummerStage in Lapham Peak. Admission to the concert is $17 for adults; $15 for seniors, students and military; and $8 for youths. There is also a $5 per car park entrance fee (waived if you have a parks sticker). Minocqua: June Bloom Arts & Crafts Festivals. Browse hand-crafted works from more than 50 exhibitors at this festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3 at Torpy Park. See minocqua.org.
