who coached cross country at Divine Savior Holy Angels for the past six seasons, is the new Marquette coach. Costa, a 1988 Marquette grad and former assistant coach at the school, replaces Jim Kearney, who retired last month after 35 seasons.

DSHA went to five straight state meets under Costa’s watch. The team was seventh this past season and produced Division 1 state champion Meghan Scott. Wheelchair game:

The Ability Center (TAC) and the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Associatio­n will host a wheelchair basketball game at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Country Lutheran. Proceeds from the game will benefit the MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) Fund. The event will feature two games. The first will pit members of the WBCA Division 3 South all-stars against the

team representi­ng TAC. The second game will mix members of both teams to form two squads.

The team of wheelchair athletes will feature Paralympia­ns, Team USA members and college national champions. The event is part of all-star game week. The boys WBCA all-star game is scheduled for June 17 at Justagame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

The event is free. Donations will be accepted. Basketball shooting

camp: Sessions for the Strictly Shooting Clinic are scheduled for June 1011 and June 16-17 at Cardinal Stritch University. The clinic will go from 10 a.m. to noon each day and is open to boys and girls grades 6-9.

The clinic will focus on shooting fundamenta­ls and feature college and NBA shooting drills. Cost is $40 per session or $120 for all four sessions.

Bryant & Stratton

recruits: Two Milwaukee Washington basketball products have signed with Bryant & Stratton College, a local Division II junior college entering its second season.

Tyree Ellis, a 6-foot-3 guard, averaged 18.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season and helped Washington reach the Division 2 state semifinal. Nakell Martin, a 6-3 guard who graduated in 2016, signed with the Bobcats after playing one season at Iowa Lakes Community College where he averaged 10 points per game. North standout signs: Milwaukee North standout Arianna Watkins signed with Bryant & Stratton women's team. The 6-3 center averaged 11 points per game the Blue Devils.
