Authorities searching for six gang members
Federal and local law enforcement officers in Milwaukee are on the hunt for six gang members after five were rounded up for federal drug and weapons charges.
Authorities indicted 11 members Friday in connection with an eightmonth investigation into the Gangster Disciples street gang, authorities said.
The men were responsible for numerous acts of violence and the sale and distribution of controlled substances, including heroin and cocaine, in Milwaukee, according to a news release from the FBI.
Members of the FBI’s Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Gang Task Force also seized 17 firearms and three vehicles from five properties located in the 7600 block of W. Leon Terrace, the 3000 block of N. Richards St., the 2300 block of S. 7th St., the 6000 block of N. 91st St. and the 8900 block of N. 85th St., the FBI said.
The following men, who all reside in Milwaukee, have been indicted:
Those arrested are: Kavanaugh C. Coleman, 29; Omar Q. Triggs, 17; Mychael L. Sykes, 29; Joshua L. Brown, 27; and Shadell L. Burks, 33.
Those still at large are: Alexander T. Jenkins, 23; Kendrick A. Davis, 20; Olajwan M. Veasy, 24; Jeremy J. Crumb, 25; John L. Dismuke, 29; and Marcello M. Mays, 35.
All the members still at large are considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows where they are is asked to call the FBI or their local police department.
The task force includes personnel from the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Milwaukee Police Department.
The investigation was worked jointly with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Group, which includes personnel from the Milwaukee, West Allis and South Milwaukee police departments, according to the release.
