Lewis Hamilton won the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal for the sixth time and the third year in a row.
Valtteri Bottas was second, 19.7 seconds behind, to give Mercedes a sweep of the top two spots as it jostles with Ferrari in the championship points race. Hamilton entered the day trailing in the points race by 25 points to Sebastien Vettel, who finished fourth. He cut the deficit to 141-129.
Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo was third for the third straight week.
NHRA: Steve Torrence powered his Top Fuel dragster to victory at the Summernationals in Englishtown, N.J.
Torrence secured his third victory of the season with a 3.857-second pass at 320.28 mph in his dragster to defeat Antron Brown. Slinger Speedway: Dennis Prunty scored his second feature victory in only his third start of the year.

Christen Press scored to help the U.S. women’s national team beat host Norway, 1-0, in a friendly in Sandefjord. Press broke through in the 60th minute. It was her 42nd international goal. Under-20 World Cup: England won the final beating Venezuela, 1-0, in Suwon, South Korea, for its first global title since 1966.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in the first half, and goalkeeper Freddie Woodman preserved the lead by saving a second-half penalty from Adalberto
Penaranda.
England arrived in South Korea without winning a game in this competition in 20 years, and leave as the surprising champion.
