Trump right on infrastructure
President Donald Trump gave an infrastructure speech informing people what caused this nation’s trillion-dollar budget deficits and why the Washington D.C. establishment is attempting to destroy him.
He cited way too much bureaucracy, too many regulations and way too many obstacles to getting anything done. As an illustration, he displayed volume upon volume of permits, regulations and other bureaucratic hoops to jump through to obtain approval for an 18-mile stretch of highway in the state of Maryland. Included was an environmental impact report that cost $29 million and weighed 70 pounds.
A bunch of bureaucratic thieves taking their bite of the nation’s wealth. An insult to any intelligent human being. Don’t expect this speech to be widely reported by the mainstream networks; they are part of the Washington D.C. establishment.

Save programs for seniors
S.O.S. The three letters are commonly known for save our ship, but in today’s world, I believe that it needs to stand for Save Our Seniors.
Not too long ago, the people who held the position of being an elected congressman or senator took the time and resources available to protect and serve our elders. Programs were put into place for senior citizens so they would have the necessary funding to ensure that they were safe and comfortable in their aging years.
Then greed and corruption became part of the government. Money once available to supplement seniors such as food stamps, health care, affordable nursing homes, has long been cut. Funds readily available have now been replaced with long waiting periods or not at all.
Corporate tax cuts and special interest groups have caused an incredible amount of harm to the well-being of the very people who have earned our respect and deserve dignity. We, as a nation, need to hold our officials responsible for the gutting of these programs.

Ryan’s pathetic defense
Rep. Paul Ryan (RWis.) says the possibility of Trump being charged with obstruction of justice is just because he (Trump) is new and does not understand government “protocol.” What a sad and pathetic response.
So we have a chief executive who does not understand why a president can’t try to obstruct an investigation dealing with the possibility that a foreign nation tried to undermine our electoral process. Well, Rep. Ryan, when is this so-called president going to figure out what it takes to be president; this month, this year, ever?
And while he is trying to figure out what this strange new job he wanted is all about, how many more laws will he violate, how many more allies will he insult, how many more lies will he tell to cover his own incompetence?
