Snarky comment on Priebus

The Journal Sentinel’s June 13 Real Time blog item asks: “What job should Reince Priebus go for after he gets the heave-ho from Trump’s body guard?”

I suggest he become the Journal Sentinel’s next editorialist.

“#Gag #Pathetic” you might say. Not true: He might be able to add a sense of civility and courteous discourse in an idea marketplace too often filled with invective and name-calling.

True, he may need to hone certain skills such as making arguments on opinion and policy without regard for graciousness. But that will come with time.

Who knows? This kind of a career move (while far less than lateral) also could be positive for the Journal Sentinel. Just imagine how a hiring a person of character and charm could reduce the alienation of open-minded readers, and in so doing, stem its dwindling influence.
