Festa Italiana Date/place: July 21-23, Maier Festival Park, 200 N. Harbor Drive. Hours: 3-midnight Friday, 11:30 a.m.-midnight Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. next Sunday. Highlights: Festa will be highlighting the Liguria region, also known as the Italian Riviera. Explore Milwaukee’s Italian heritage in an exhibit of photographs. Enjoy rice balls and panini, cannoli and eggplant, sample the wine and keep your eyes to the sky for the nightly Italian-style fireworks. Musical headliners include: BoDeans, Nicholas David, Gin Blossoms, Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti, Violin Femmes starring Bella Electric Strings, Ray Massa’s EuroRhythms, The Sicilian Tenors, Tre Principesse, and Anna Calemme.
