HOME STYLES
Milwaukee metro area Parade of Homes starts Aug. 12
Twenty-two houses in three suburban Milwaukee subdivisions will offer visitors a look at the latest home styles in the annual Metropolitan Builders Association’s Parade of Homes. The parade, which begins Aug. 12 and runs through Labor Day, features newly constructed houses in Fox Meadow in Menomonee Falls, Highlander Estates in Mequon and Four Winds West in Hartland.
“The MBA Parade of Homes opens the doors of 22 brand new homes that the public may not have the chance to see otherwise,” said Kristine Hillmer, executive director of the association. “It gives people the opportunity to get unique ideas for their own home, whether they are building a new home or remodeling their current home.”
More than 35,000 visitors are expected to tour the homes during the three-week event, giving them the opportunity to talk with builders and experts on houses and home improvements, the association said.
Hours for the parade are Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and weekends and Labor Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Special events and promotions will be held throughout the event, including a food drive, 2-for-1 days, Realtor days, social media days and military appreciation days. Visit MBAparade
